The late British wine icon Steven Spurrier was the mastermind behind

“The Judgment of Paris”- a blind wine tasting in 1976 pinning the best wines of France and California

with an outcome that shocked with tsumamic forces when California won in fine form.

The movie Bottle Shock tells the tale of this riveting milestone moment.

“The Judgment of Paris” theme runs deep capturing the minds and palates of many,

including The Wine Alchemist hosted events on both sides of the Atlantic - with the wine legend himself.

Steven - my mentor - was an inspiration to work with over the years. Most memorable was curating the kickoff events of

his grand US tour celebrating the 40th anniversary of “The Judgment of Paris”.
